Vehicle Description
The Advance Design pickups are on the radar with enthusiasts, and
if you've been holding off waiting for a deal, here's a newsflash:
they will not be getting cheaper. The good news is that you can own
this beautifully built 1954 Chevy 3100, not for $60,000 or $50,000,
but quite a bit less. A powerful V8, overdrive transmission, and
four-wheel disc brakes all wrapped in a slick two-tone
presentation... This 1950 Chevrolet 3100 3-Window is the cool
custom street machine that's ready to run right now.
It's hard not to get drawn in by an interesting pickup like this
one. Finished in Eggshell White over Orange and done to a high
standard, this 65+ year old has a serious dose of attitude. Custom
touches like the front bumper delete, rear roll pan, shaved
handles, and side exit exhaust give this beauty a look that stands
out from the crowd. The creamsicle paint scheme also draws plenty
of attention to the bright five-bar grille that is an artistic icon
today, and the color-matched fiberglass bed cover lifts up to
reveal an expertly crafted oak bed. Plus, the stock-style dog dish
and beauty ring accents are a wonderful contrast to the orange
steelies, which tuck in nicely under the aggressively raked stance
of this 3100.
More custom work is evident the moment you open the door. The
original bench seat was swapped in favor of ultra-roomy captain's
seats adorned with high-end vinyl and durable cloth inserts, and a
custom center console ushers in both functionality and added style.
Soft carpeting, an AM/FM/CD stereo, and R134a A/C are big
improvements over the old '50s cab, but it all still feels vintage
thanks to the Art Deco style dash. You slip behind the padded
3-spoke steering wheel affixed to the chrome tilt column, grab the
bright shifter, and look out over a full set of Omega Kustom gauges
- all clear indications that you'll love what's in the engine
bay.
Under the hood is a slick presentation radiating with color-matched
inner fenders and a smoothed firewall, shiny Edelbrock valve
covers, and a matching air cleaner. The crate 350 cubic-inch V8 has
been fitted with aluminum heads and is topped with a Holley
four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock intake, and an aluminum radiator
w/electric fan. It's a motor that let's you see and feel it's extra
kick of power. And the ceramic coated headers that feed that
Magnaflow dual exhaust even lets you hear that power. This is a
great motor for the streets, and it only gets better with some
terrific upgrades like the 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission
with highway-friendly overdrive. Plus, there's power steering, an
upgraded front suspension, and the superior stopping prowess of
power four-wheel disc brakes.
With a completed frame-off restoration, this is the classic pickup
that has the look of a street machine and all the right investments
to back it up, too. Nice custom builds like this never stay here
long, so don't miss your chance. Call now!
