For Sale: 1933 Ford Coupe in Morgantown, Pennsylvania

Vehicle Description

1933 Ford 40 Coupe

In March of 1932 the Ford Motor Company introduced the new Model 40 V8. V8 engines had been used for many years but they were expensive to produce and drove the cost of the vehicle into territory that only a few could afford. The cylinder block casting process was complicated. Ford, however, found a way to mass-produce the V8 engines making them the first low-priced V8 engines on the market.

For consignment a custom-built hot rod version of a model 40 Ford. Nothing but the best for this build, read on for a who's who of hot rod parts, and hard work, but a superfine result.

Exterior
A Downs body and chassis starts us off on the hit list and it is painted in PPG Torched Red that makes Red Riding Hood's Hood look dull! A Rootlieb 3-piece hood which is removable to reveal the mill is attached and is fronted by an Alumacraft grille. Flanking the grill are King Bee Headlights. 2 side mirrors are seen on each suicide door which are shaved and utilize a remote to pop them open. Weld billet wheels are on all 4 corners.

Interior
Custom tan leather wraps the interior including the buckets, door panels, console, and vertical interior surfaces within the cockpit. This same leather shows up in the trunk when one electronically activates the trunk opener. A custom console is seen as well as a dash which houses VDO night vision gauges that glow a beautiful...red. A Pioneer AM/FM Super Tuner with amp fills the cabin with awesome sound. Getting in and out is a breeze with the Ididit tilt steering column. Vintage AC and heat allow you to drive to shows year round.

Drivetrain
Take a 350ci Crate engine, top it with an Edelbrock 4 barrel carb, dip it in chrome, and you will have what you see on this car with the removable 3 piece hood. Bolt on a 350 Turbo transmission with a shift kit, and you are in business.

Undercarriage
Not many stones left unturned underneath, and splashes of the Torch Red paint within the black components, and it's a car show underneath too. Seen are tubular a-arms and shocks all around, a 4-link rear suspension, barely used brakes, calipers, rotors, and drum hardware all fed by stainless steel braided lines. Rack and pinion steering, and snaking back to the rear of the car, new exhaust and Flowmasters.

Truly a sight to behold, as you cannot miss this car when you walk into Classic Auto Mall. Kudos to a beautiful job on the build, materials used, and thought out aesthetics. They say red cars get pulled over more often, and I'd say... stay well within the speed limit!
