Vehicle Description
1923 Ford T Altered Drag Car
Drag racing was born in the dry lake beds in the California
deserts. In the 1930's as engines got better and drivers got
braver, speeds began topping 100mph. ... Races frequently took
place on unused military runways with the first organized event
dating back to 1949 at the Goleta Air Base in California.
7.50 @ 200 MPH was the best run for this altered "T" Bucket.
Starting life as a Model T, then making its way on to a long racing
frame to become a drag racer. Eventually moving on to "Exhibition"
drag racing, which is responsible for the final car you see
today.
