Vehicle Description
This 1995 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 convertible is about as clean a
representative of the model's fourth generation as you're ever
likely to come across, and for good reason. It's had the good
fortune of having just two long term owners who have kept it
consistently sheltered its entire life and never exposed it to any
undue elements. Add to that its unusually light mileage - fewer
than 19,000 - and you can see that this droptop Chevy represents an
opportunity that doesn't come around very often.
The exterior still features its original bright red paint - not
just the color, but the paint itself. Its quality was outstanding
to begin with and, having been spared from much UV exposure and
driven with care over the years, it's in top form, sporting a shine
that seems to start a foot beneath the surface. Had the back story
on this car included embarking from the assembly line to a showroom
turntable and staying put over the years, it wouldn't seem
far-fetched at all. Chevy brought back the convertible option just
a year before this '95 came out and aesthetically speaking, it's a
great match for the sleek, aerodynamic form. Whether the Hartz
black cloth convertible top, which itself is in ultra clean
condition and features a glass rear window, is in its raised or
lowered position, this car looks like it was made to be in this
configuration all along.
Just as what's on display outside, the black leather interior is in
outstanding condition. Premature aging from sun damage is always a
concern when a convertible - especially one with black upholstery -
is involved, but there's no such worry here, as everything inside
the doors is still looking great. The contoured front buckets and
rear seats remain impressively clean, and all the components
surrounding them look pretty much as they did when new, including
the factory AM/FM/CD stereo mounted at the center of the dash.
Being a relatively modern muscle car, if offers plenty of comfort
and convenience features on board, including air conditioning, a
tilt column, power seats, power windows and door locks and a rear
window defogger - something that really comes in handy during cold
weather. Driver and passenger side airbags provide an added measure
of safety, while the included anti-theft device helps keep this
sharp-looking ride from leaving your possession unintended.
This Z/28 is powered by a fuel injected 350 cubic inch LT1 V8 that
sits in a very nicely detailed compartment, without so much as a
wire out of place. Being so lightly travelled, the engine is really
just now entering its prime as it teams with both a 4-speed
automatic 4L60E transmission whose overdrive gear brings RPMs down
at highway speeds, as well as a posi traction rear end. After
having been owned for a good part of its lifetime by a Chevy
employee who maintained it diligently, this Camaro's most recent
owner followed suit, just recently giving the car a going over from
front to back while replacing all belts, hoses, fluids and a number
of other parts and seals just to ward off any potential issues down
the road. During that process, new front and rear sway bar link
bushings were added - so you'll hear no squeaking while cruising
down the road. There are new pads and rotors, allowing the featured
4 wheel power disc brakes to bring this vehicle's set of 17" ZR1
style wheels wrapped with Firestone Wide Oval tires to prompt,
dependable stops.
With its sleek aerodynamic form and an outstanding condition both
inside and out, this 1995 Chevrolet Camaro must be seen to be fully
appreciated. Call today!
