In 1967, several Chevy II options were available including the
Chevy II Nova 400, which is what this gorgeous beast is. A factory
V8 car, this Nova is clean, complete, and ready to hit the streets!
The exterior of this car is a beautiful shade of red, and the paint
quality is excellent. This is a slick paint job that looks wet in
any lighting! The exterior is clad in a tasteful amount of chrome,
limited only to the role of accenting the red paint. The doors shut
nicely, and the way this Nova is set up gives it a really sporty
look.... But make no mistake, this car is NOT your run of the mill
NOVA.
Under the hood is a fully detailed Chevrolet 355 small block V8
nestled in a clean and tidy engine bay, one of the cleanest we have
seen. The 355 gives this little Nova plenty of power, and even
better, is hooked up to a 700R4 automatic transmission for improved
cruising pleasure thanks to the overdrive gear. However, when you
want to launch off the line at the stoplight you have a 2800 stall
converter to shove you back in the seat. The engine has been
tastefully dressed up with painted valve covers and air cleaner, an
aluminum intake, chrome alternator and chrome pulleys. Attached to
the engine is a nice set of headers plumbed to a new dual exhaust
system. Underneath the car, you'll find new polyurethane bushings,
a new fuel tank, and Cal Trac traction bars.
The clean theme continues with a new stock looking black vinyl
bucket seats. The interior is clean, attractive, and well put
together. The bucket seats are divided by an SS automatic center
console. Even the seatbelt buckles are in excellent condition!
Tasteful aftermarket interior upgrades include an aftermarket
steering wheel, a Sun tachometer, and Autogage water temperature
and oil pressure gauges.
Overall, this is a beautiful Nova that has been put together the
right way. This would be a fantastic weekend cruiser, and many
would likely consider this a show car. It is sure to turn heads
anywhere you go, and the sporty look just can't be beat!
