This 1969 Corvette Stingray convertible has been with it's current
owner for the last 30 years. An older restoration, this beautiful
Stingray still remains in excellent condition. Painted Fathom Green
with a beautifully contrasting saddle leather interior, this
Corvette is at once elegant and understated. The current owner has
added the side pipes and chrome luggage rack, but all the original
pieces are included with the sale. The chrome on the bumpers and
windshield frame is in excellent condition, and shines like new.
The top is older but still remains in excellent condition. The
vinyl back window is clear and almost scratch free, and there is
minimal wrinkling in the vinyl. On the inside, the leather seats
have been recovered and appear as new, carpets are clean and tidy,
and overall fit and finish is correct for the time period. This car
is equipped with factory air conditioning, a rare option for a big
block four speed car. It has been updated to R134, and blows cold.
Under the hood is the potent 427 cubic inch V-8 with single
Rochester four barrel. This high compression big block fires right
up and idles smoothly all while producing a wonderful engine noise.
All that torque goes to the rear axle through a Muncie M21 close
ratio four speed manual transmission. The shifts are short and the
pattern tight, making this one fun Stingray to drive fast. This is
one truly nice classic Corvette, and big block air conditioned cars
are ripe to go sky high in value. If you want a classic Stingray
that you can drive and enjoy, this is you new Corvette. Email
