Vehicle Description
2 tops, 4-speed, a/c roadster with crate motor, power steering and
power 4 wheel disc brakes. Right out of South Carolina. This is one
of those cars that I knew I had to have it the first instant I seen
it. Only about 10% were convertibles and this was the last year it
was available until 1986. Comes with a file of receipts.
EXTERIOR: Gorgeous bright green metallic. You need to see this car
in the sun to appreciate it. That's what made me want it instantly.
The quality is incredible too, it even feels slick as teflon. The
metal flake is laid out evenly. Both rubber bumpers are in
excellent shape. The jambs were painted real nice too.
Weatherstrips were replaced. The rare removable hardtop was painted
as nice as the car. The white convertible top is like new. The gas
and trim are very nice. The 15x8 rally wheels really pop- the new
trim is chrome and it sparkles. BFG tires look fairly new.
INTERIOR: Very well cared for, unabused condition. Only 72,488
actual miles. Original genuine leather upholstery and armrest
cushion. Nice door panels, dash, carpet etc. The console and dash
area was restored with new dash pad, instrument bezel, console
bezel, a/c vents, wiper switch plate, lenses, cigarette lighter and
housing, rear view mirror etc. Upgraded with a retro stereo that
fits in the factory hole, has an aux jack and upgraded Kenwood in
dash speakers, enclosed speakers in back. The tilt-telescopic
column was upgraded with a leather grip steering wheel.
MOTOR COMPARTMENT: It has a genuine GM crate 350 HO motor with 333
hp. The GM tag is affixed to the motor and dated 11/09/12. You can
feel confident with a GM crate motor versus a rebuilt motor by who
knows who. They come fully assembled and complete with aluminum
intake, Holley 600 carb and HEI ignition. The compartment is
orderly and cleaned up nice. It is decorated with chrome valve
covers, air cleaner and even a chrome master cylinder. The
alternator, water pump and pulleys are polished aluminum. The
radiator, shroud and fan look proper. The factory air conditioning
system has been updated to R134 freon. The vacuum headlight door
openers have been upgraded with new electric motors ($800), saves
weight and more reliable.
UNDERSIDE: Proper original condition. Great sounding performance
exhaust. It has shiny ceramic coated shorty headers a complete
stainless Pypes exhaust system with X pipe, even the hardware is
stainless. $400 receipt for front brakes, rotors and wheel
bearings. The original 4-speed trans is spotless looking, it must
have been out and serviced recently. Shifter was rebuilt. The
bottom of the motor is still new looking. Has new starter, steering
valve, brake proportion valve, idler arm, back up light switch and
sway bar bushings. It has independent suspension front and back,
disc brakes at all four corners. Spare tire carrier is in
place.
This is an extraordinary Corvette, it truly stands out from the
