For Sale: 1971 Chevrolet C10 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Vehicle Description

There are some things that should never go away. Some are timeless classics. They have been embraced as irreplaceable parts of our lives and culture. '71 Chevrolet trucks are making their way into these categories, as is the venerable small block Chevy engine. This truck brings classic elements together in a way that's thoroughly contemporary -- a hallmark of a great design. There are small blocks, and then there's the 400 -- known for its bottom end torque and its bottom end construction. It runs at a high level of tune with the latest goodies from MSD, Edelbrock, and Hedman. And it looks right in Chevrolet orange paint with color-keyed valve covers and air cleaner. A chrome V-belt and pulley kit looks great and is extra functional. Two belts around the water pump and alternator pulleys keep you on the road. Meticulous engineering is evident in other fundamentals too, like the new wiring, or the fuel system for instance. A new 20 gallon aluminum tank was fabbed and relocated to the rear of the truck. The fuel makes its way to the carb through new fuel lines and AN fittings. Then an MSD box and distributor make sure the fuel burns efficiently, and the result is performance you can feel. Some timeless artforms that many fear are disappearing are gold leaf paint work, air brush work, and pinstriping done by hand. The custom paint on this truck showcases them all, and the result is magnificent. They serve to enhance the simple but effective red and white paint scheme without overpowering it. A cowl induction hood imparts a performance flavor, and a premium Line-X bedliner preserves utility. Gianelle luxury wheels with a diameter of 22 inches accentuate the gold, while staggered size Nitto tires - 265's in front and meaty 285's in back finish the exterior. The interior is all-new. The couch-like seat is only the beginning. The comfort level rivals that of the most luxurious modern truck thanks to a generous list of amenities. Power steering -- with tilt, power windows -- with tint, and JL Audio properly pamper occupants. Intelligent design and great discernment regarding what to upgrade and what to leave alone make this truck a great choice. It looks great, drives great, you can haul stuff in it, and it will maintain its value for years as you enjoy it more and more.
