Vehicle Description
Here we have a hot rod custom truck with lots of hot rod and lots
of custom. The body work is incredible. The 1950 Ford F1 body has
been given a longer wheelbase (stretched) and a wider stance
(widened) plus some more magical massaging to give it a faster,
sleeker, one-of-a-kind appearance. More 21st century-izing shows in
the paint. Dark gray metallic and light gray metallic blend for a
look that's modern, tasteful, and a bit sinister all at once. The
truck really stands out in the bed area. The bed is cleverly
separated into two compartments. In front you have easy access to
the battery and other essentials, and in back is some real
craftsmanship. The wood bed is stained black and you have to see it
believe how great this looks! The Ford oval stands proudly in an
expertly upholstered divider, and there are three nicely crafted
hatches that form a smooth tonneau cover. The engine gives off all
the right hot rod signals. First of all, it's a 350 Chevy crate
motor, so you know you're getting plenty of good, reliable
horsepower. It's dressed for the occasion with Edelbrock finned
valve covers and air cleaner. The hardware's there too. An
Edelbrock carb on a legendary Edelbrock manifold feeds the beast,
and full-length tube headers extract the exhaust, which then
travels through a custom dual exhaust system with Dynaflow
mufflers. Rest assured, the sound is just right. This custom hot
rod also stands out by placing a high priority on comfort. First,
there's plenty of headroom. Once you're in, you can appreciate a
custom dash with billet accents, a 3-spoke billet steering wheel
with tilt, a beautifully executed gauge package, and another great
hot rod touch. It's a B&M QuickSilver ratchet shifter. This
unit gives you the same kind of control over the 700R4 automatic as
the best drag racers have, and it integrates perfectly into the
look of the interior. You can shift manually or let the tranny
shift itself. Either way, it's set up so you don't mess up your day
by hitting reverse by accident. Like many of the world's great hot
rods and race cars, this one has a Ford 9-inch rear -- widely
acknowledged as one of the very best for high strength and
manageable weight. The stance, a unique true custom look, tried and
true performance, and a few nice surprises make this 1950 Ford F1
truly stand out even among the best-crafted custom trucks.
