For Sale: 1969 Plymouth Fury III in Orlando, Florida

Vehicle Description

Did you miss the January Auctions? No worries, February bids are here online and you can buy your dream car NOW. Rare Classic Beauty, last of a generation, Convertible Cruiser, 318 V-8 Automatic, exceptional car that runs and drives like it did 50 years ago. *Previously sold at $69,000.

I purchased my Fury 5 years ago at an estate sale in Vancouver, Canada and drove it top-down south 500 miles at 70 mph along the Pacific Hi way. The following day I drove another 500 miles to San Francisco. It was a trouble-free journey with a wonderful scenic and smooth ride all the way. Then it was loaded onto an enclosed car carrier for it's final destination, Orlando, Florida.

The Fury's history, as given to me at the time of purchase, was that I was the third owner. The first owner bought it new and kept it for 25 years. The second owner bought it and completed a lengthy restoration which included the top-half of the motor, new black leather interior and an extremely lustrous paint job (The coating is so shiny and deep that you can actually see yourself shaving). He also customized the deck with an extension and  continental Kit. I was told this Fury won several Best-in Show Awards. Unfortunately, owner #2 became ill and the Fury sat in the garage for a while.

The Fury arrived in Orlando 1 week later and I was eager to take my family for a drive. We took day trips every day and I realized that the suspension needed a tweak. Up on the rack I noticed that the suspension had been lowered about 4 inches and it was riding too close to the ground. After many phone calls, I located a spring manufacturer in Pennsylvania and ordered a 6-leaf custom springs for the rear and new Monroe stocks for the front and of course had to elevate the front adjusters to the original specs. I also decided to change the tires and all the gaskets - valve covers, Pan and transmission pan, and exhaust manifold.

During my new weekend cruising I felt alive and began to drive all over the state, Miami, Tampa, Fort Myers and Jacksonville. It was truly exciting to receive "thumbs-up" from other motorists and many of them offered to swap their new cars. Now since my son has taken possession of my Ram Pick Up, I am driving the Fury every day.

We need a happy ending and an enthusiastic family to continue caring for My Fury. Please contact me if you have an interest in becoming #4.
