excellence

Over the years, Alpina has carefully cultivated a reputation of
perfecting BMWs to tread the line between sophistication, subtilty
and outright performance. The B12 6.0 offers exactly that. Debuted
at the 1999 Geneva Motor Show to replace the 5.7-litre B12 on BMW's
E38 7-Series platform, the previous V-12 was enlarged to
6.0-litres, producing 430 bhp and 600 nm of torque at 4,200 rpm.
For devouring swaths of autobahn in a single jaunt, there could be
no better automobile.
This B12 6.0 was originally delivered to Japan and first registered
in June of 2000. Boasting full-leather upholstery in black with
Alpina detailing and special Alpina Dunkelsaphirblau metallic paint
and contrasting gold Alpina pinstripes, it oozes German
sophistication throughout. Its accompanying Japanese Export
Certificate shows it was exported from Japan in 2016, when it was
purchased by the consignor and imported to Switzerland showing
65,727 km on its odometer at the time.
At its time, the B12's performance was blistering for its class;
following a 0-100 km/h sprint in 5.9 seconds, the B12 6.0 would
cross the 1 km mark in 23.5 seconds, faster than a Ferrari F355. It
goes without saying that this Alpina is the quintessential
gentleman's hot rod. To view this car and others currently
