Vehicle Description
Here's a great way to get a speedy custom classic on a budget. This
1984 Chevrolet Camaro almost looks stock from the outside, but keen
eyes will start to pick up on all the touches that lead to the
beast within.
This one makes the right first impression. The metallic gray paint
has a timeless appeal, and this one is a professional application
that looks terrific on the sunlight. You even get some of the best
4th-gen Camaro pieces like the full body kit and Z/28 style rear
wing. But Camaro fans can also spot a ton of custom work. After
all, those bold red racing stripes were never part of any factory
package. And they highlight the lightweight fiberglass cowl
induction hood w/hood pins. Plus, while the best Camaros of this
era had five-spoke wheels, those 17-inch Ronal alloys shine
brighter and look better than anything the factory offered.
When you open the door, there are more of the right
competition-ready upgrades. It starts with the newer racing bucket
seats up front. Plus, the Hurst Quart Stick shifter feels great in
your right hand, and your left one may never want to leave the Momo
Nero sports steering wheel. Beyond that are a full set of AutoMeter
Phantom gauges that looks great with their white backing radiating
within this dark interior. But more than just the right performance
upgrades, this has the right creature comfort investments, too.
That's why you have cold-blowing R134a air conditioning, and
there's a Kenwood AM/FM/CD/XM receiver with pop-up screen and
Bluetooth.
Under the hood is where this one earns its sporty upgrades. There
was a 350 cubic-inch performance crate motor installed in 2017. It
has been enhanced further with a Holley four-barrel carburetor,
Edelbrock Performer intake, aluminum radiator, and Hooker headers
feeding a growling dual exhaust. This is a powerful setup. That's
why it feeds a TH350 automatic transmission and a strong 12-bolt
rear with 35 spline axles and Auburn limited slip with 3.42 gears.
And as you look through the undercarriage photos, you're going to
see more great upgrades like the tubular A-arm front suspension and
fortified rear end. Add in Wilwood four-wheel disc brakes, power
steering, and the modern grip of BF Goodrich gForce Sport tires,
and this is a truly street-eating machine.
A total package that's nicely presented, and has a healthy power
upgrade, makes this Chevy very desirable. And the affordable price
on this rocket means you have to hurry if you want it to be yours.
