Vehicle Description
A collector's item from the moment they were announced, the 2008
Shelby GT500 has always been a desirable coupe. And when it's so
well presented on the outside, loaded on the inside, and upgraded
for a street-eating 560 dyno-proven rear-wheel horsepower, you know
this snake-bitten Mustang is irresistible.
The factory Vista Blue is in such great condition that you know it
has lived a pampered life. That makes sense considering this is
only one of 869 produced in this color. But when you're looking at
a Shelby, you're not just looking for rarity, you also want
aggression. That's why this one has an awesome dark side. There's
the blacked-out grille, hood vents, tail panel (with tinted
taillights,) and racing stripes that run from the chin spoiler to
beyond the rear deck spoiler. We know you love that added
coordinated darkness of the black Super Snake wheels. This total
black and blue presentation is a nice reminder that this one was
invested in nicely to make sure you could bruise Corvettes (more on
that in a moment.)
Inside, the black bucket seats might be cowhide leather, but
they've got Shelby's trademark snake embossed in them. Barely
averaging over 3,400 miles annually means little seat time and few
opportunities for wear-n-tear. This fresh-feeling interior is also
loaded. You get all the best features, including power windows,
power locks, power driver's seat, power steering, keyless entry,
cruise control, and cold air conditioning. The stereo is the
optional AM/FM/XM/CD Shaker unit with a six-disc changer built into
the dash. And speaking of modern conveniences, you also get the
safety of dual front airbags, side airbags, and ABS. But even with
all these features, all you really care about is gripping the
leather-wrapped steering wheel in your left hand, placing the
sifter in your right one, and holding on for a speedy
adventure.
Under the hood is the original supercharged 32-valve 5.4-liter V8
engine. While the fuel-injected motor was already a giant killer
right out of the box, this one has had some serious investment
added. It now has a cold air intake, and the supercharger spins
faster with smaller pulley. And the V8 exhales with authority with
American Racing long tube headers, American racing full exhaust,
and Magnaflow exhaust tips. Plus, this whole setup was tuned by Pro
Dyno. The full package is rated at 650+ hp at the crank and 560 hp
at the rear wheels. We've got the dyno sheet to prove it, but all
you really need to do is fire up this supercharged Shelby, and the
roar will let everyone will know your power supremacy. This takes
the car into Super Snake territory, but components like the
six-speed manual transmission were built stout enough just for this
exact purpose. There have also been some serious maintenance
investments in the last 12 months to keep this GT500 at its best.
That means fluid flushes, new Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires, new
drilled & slotted four-wheel disc brakes, and a ton of suspension
component upgrades (call for all the details.)
Complete with the owner's manual, original warranty card, and
maintenance records, this custom is a mean machine. And its
superior condition and low mileage tells you it has always been
treated with the respect it deserves. Are you ready to charm this
custom powerful snake? Call now!
