Vehicle Description
If you're looking for a vintage pickup that will stand out in a
crowd, you'll definitely want to check out this 1952 Chevrolet
3100. It displays some impressive craftsmanship both inside and
out, with all of it performed while still keeping this classic's
identity very much intact. On top of that, this venerable Chevy
sports a solid driving condition, so you'll be able to get out on
the road and enjoy yourself just as soon as you get it home.
You'll notice its distinctive appearance right off the bat, but
under closer inspection, you'll find that this 3100 represents a
great balance between the conventional and unconventional. It wears
a Lazer Blue color over most of its exterior - it's a timeless
shade and a multi-stage detail would really bring out its best. The
painted woodgrain accents over its running boards, visor and sides
of the bed show a lot of depth, with a nice shine and a convincing
3D effect - the Chevrolet lettering on the nose of the hood and the
lift gate is really something to behold. The Chevy trucks of this
era featured prominent front grilles, with stacked horizontal bars
positioned between the headlights, and the one on display here is
in very clean condition. The body lines on this '52 also appear to
be in good order as well.
There's plenty of creativity on display inside the doors with the
same woodgrain theme covering most of the dash area and the door
panels to each side, where they're accented by diamond plated
panels surrounding door hardware that appears to have been recently
added. A period correct steering wheel holds its place on the
column, while just beyond it, the instrument cluster still has its
original gauges and decorative chrome panel, under which sits a
Kenwood AM/FM/CD stereo that teams with hidden speakers to fill the
interior with sound. Take care of a few missing details - none of
which will require much down time - and this interior will be
transformed into a definite conversation piece. The bed area in
back has been thoroughly refurbished and features well-prepped
wooden planks and clean hardware lining its floor.
Beneath the hood, the engine compartment has been kept in largely
stock configuration and sports some really nice detail work. The
235 cubic inch inline 6 inside carries the appropriate single
barrel carb underneath an oil bath air cleaner which sits next to a
very sharp blue Thrift Master valve cover. The vintage powerplant
starts right up and teams with a 3-speed manual transmission to
make up a period correct drivetrain that's functioning in good
form. A number of components have been recently replaced for added
reliability, including the alternator, wiring, hoses and fuel pump
and below, the undercarriage appears to be in good shape. This one
of a kind ride cruises on a set of 15" moon-style steel wheels
outfitted with white wall radial tires.
This 1952 Chevrolet 3100 is a skillfully modified, distinctive
truck that will definitely get noticed, and its solid running
condition is a big plus. Call today!
