Now featured in our Denver showroom is this tastefully modified
1979 Chevrolet C10 with the same drive train that came stock almost
40 years ago! Powering this old stepside pickup truck is a 454
cubic inch V8 that has been bored .030 over and has just over 2,000
miles on the fresh rebuild. During this rebuild it received forged
pistons, an RV cam, and capped off with a Holley 750 to feed this
big engine. The TH400 transmission is able to transfer this power
with ease to the strong 12-bolt rear end equipped with 3.73:1 gears
for great off the line torque while not jeopardizing your cruising
ability. This truck is not just a power house though, it has been
fitted with power disc brakes on all four corners to bring it to a
stop quickly and the front suspension has been upgraded to a DJM
front suspension kit for a premium ride and better handling. The
aftermarket front suspension paired with the power steering makes
for a fun ride and out cornering most other trucks on the road! The
interior has also been tastefully modified with a reupholstered
seat, new dash pad, and billet inserts on the dash and gauge
cluster that match the door panels nicely. The red PPG paint fits
this truck well and the 1963 Plymouth taillights and louvers added
to the rear set this truck apart from the rest! After many years of
being loved and enjoyed by the same owner, this 1979 C-10 is ready
to be enjoyed by someone new. If you are looking for a fun sporty
pickup truck this one is an excellent choice and would be a great
platform if you would like to customize it and make it your own.
