Great buy in an air-cooled 911 cabriolet! This is a two-owner car that was sold new and spent nearly all of its life in Houston. We have all the owner’s books, service tools, spare inflator and extra keys that came with it new. It has only had very minor paint touch ups to the original Marine Blue finish with no significant accident damage—no rust, either! The car is well equipped with factory options including Dark Blue leather interior, power top and Porsche crest wheel caps. The radio was recently upgraded with a modern Alpine CD unit with Bluetooth voice capability and the top was replaced with a proper Haartz-cloth one a few years ago.
We have a large file with the car’s service history from new, plus the original window sticker. Of course it has the correct original engine, a recent set of Michelins, brake rotors and the clutch was replaced just a few thousand miles ago. It has averaged just 5000 miles per year and runs absolutely terrific. The last service receipt was from one of the most-respected local Porsche specialists (300 miles ago) at which time the car got over $4000 in work, including all belts, filters, lubricants, valve cover seals, new plugs and hood struts. The shop also performed a cylinder leak-down test and reported a minimal 2-3% leakage across all cylinders!
The 964-series provides factory air conditioning, power seats, windows, mirrors & locks, cruise control, power steering, air bag and ABS brakes. The C-2 has weight and service advantages over the AWD C-4s, with a more nimble feel, too. It’s got a few stone chips and a scratch or two, but this car will provide its next enthusiast owner with a lot of Porsche enjoyment at a very affordable price point.
