Vehicle Description
The first-generation Chevrolet Camaro, which ran from 1967-1969 is
considered by many to be the best looking muscle car ever
built.
Why This Car Is Special
This car is as clean as they come and is ready to take home
trophies at every level. This car has been restored to better than
new standards and drives like a dream.
Mechanical
The original numbers matching 327 V8 engine still rests under the
hood but has been completely rebuilt and beefed up with bolt on
parts. Those parts include an Edelbrock intake, Edelbrock
Carburetor and Edelbrock cam, Hooker headers with Dynaflow dual
exhaust and a high-flow water pump. The engine has been dyno tested
at 296 horsepower. The transmission is a TCI Turbo 350 automatic
with a Gear Vendors 2 speed underdriver/overdrive. The front end is
modernized with Unisteer power rack and pinion steering and power
front disc brakes. Mallory electronic ignition has been added for
improved reliability and spark and a new starter and battery have
been installed. New suspension and bushings have been installed all
around for a great ride quality and stainless steel brake and fuel
lines have been installed during the restoration.
Interior
The interior is stunning and has an entire new houndstooth seat
set, AutoMeter console gauges, center console with horseshoe
shifter, Alpine AM/FM/CD player with modern looking Flaming River
RS steering wheel. The convertible top and top boot are new as
well. The woodgrain is in great shape and is has seat belts for
added safety. To top it all off, you've got the super cool Tic Toc
Tach in the dash to keep an eye on the RPMs and the time.
Exterior
The exterior of this Camaro is incredible. It is as straight as
they come and the paint is phenomenal. Bright blue metallic paint
with custom painted stripes that turn into checkered flags make
this car stand out in a crowd. Chrome American Racing wheels with
BF Goodrich Radial TA tires not only look great but perform just as
well. A flush mounted third brake light sits in the rear spoiler
from Streetworks and a cowl induction hood has been installed up
front. The hide-away headlights have all new canisters and vacuum
lines and work as they should.
Conclusion
This Camaro has a top-notch restoration and looks to kill. You will
be hard pressed to find a nicer build in this price range.
