Gateway Classic Cars of Fort Lauderdale is proud to offer this
sharp 1969 Mercury Cougar convertible. What more could you want in
a 60's muscle car than a V8 engine, convertible top, and it being
painted a beautiful red color. The introduction of the Cougar
finally gave Mercury its own "pony car". Slotted between the Ford
Mustang and the Ford Thunderbird, the Cougar was the performance
icon and eventually the icon for the Mercury name for several
decades. The Cougar was available in two models (base and XR-7).
This Cougar badged as the upgraded XR-7. Powered by a Ford 302 V8
engine and paired to a 3-speed automatic transmission, this car can
really move. The odometer reads about 56k miles, but the drivetrain
was completely rebuilt 300 miles ago. Many service updates have
been completed and documented with over $6,000 in receipts to keep
this car driving correctly still to this day. The shocks, starter,
value covers, radio, steering wheel, battery and etc were all
replaced with new parts during the rebuilt. The exterior paint is
in great shape and painted in a gorgeous red paint with a black
hood scoop and spoiler. The white vinyl interior is very clean and
shows minimal signs of wear. The power convertible top works
smoothly and operates as it should. The style of this car is like
any other '69 muscle car with its hideaway headlights, unique
taillights, and spoiler in the rear. You will not be able to drive
this car without heads turning as you drive by. Options include;
Sony Radio with CD, Power convertible top, power steering, raised
white letters on radial tires, seat belts and vinyl interior. The
current owner has got to cherish this beautiful beast for many
years and is now giving someone else the chance to do the same. Do
not let this '69 American Muscle car pass you by! To see 100+ HD
