Vehicle Description
Like your classic pickups with plenty of drivability to go along
with outstanding curb appeal? This 1970 Chevrolet C10 is a great
take on the model - it's a super solid vintage truck that's been
very nicely restored with a bit of a sinister attitude. It's
sporting a set of ultra-sharp wheels to update its look just a bit,
along with some well chosen aftermarket upgrades to provide an
outstanding driving experience.
The dark olive green shade draped over this classic's exterior
mirrors the same hue it drove off the assembly line with and shows
all the hallmarks of a paint job very well done. The consistency of
both color and texture everywhere is pretty impressive - the shine
is nice and deep and as you come in for a closer look, you'll
notice all those signs that proper prep work was performed. Up
front, the grille is in very clean condition as it sits between a
vibrant Chevy hood emblem just above and a table straight,
unblemished bumper below, with headlight casings that appear to
have been recently replaced. As far as stance is concerned, this
C10 strikes a nice balance - low enough to serve notice that it's
been customized, but still with a lot of wheel clearance for
everyday driving situations. The body alignment looks great, with a
cabin that transitions smoothly to the bed area and body contours
that really stand out against their deep green backdrop. In back,
the tailgate bears precisely-painted black Chevrolet lettering for
some nice contrast and the precision with which the gate lines up
with the panels to either side is just another indication of how
detailed this restoration was.
The olive green interior retains its factory authenticity and
you'll be impressed by just how fresh everything looks - the bench
seat is in great shape, with plenty of padding, the matching
carpeting below is very well-fitted and the door panels to each
side sit flush and carry original-looking handles that show no
pitting at all. The level of functionality on hand is top notch and
everything, except for the original AM radio in the center of the
dash, is working just as intended. The bed area is protected by a
Rhino-style liner that's performed its duties well - there are no
noticeable scuffs inside and with the tailgate in its lowered
position you can see that fresh hinges were also installed
somewhere along the way.
Underneath the hood, a 350 cubic inch V8 sits in a very nicely
detailed engine compartment, sporting a very sharp, Chevy-branded
matte black air cleaner and matching valve covers. The engine is
running strong - it's been armed with an Edelbrock 4 barrel carb
and intake, as well as aftermarket headers and a performance cam
that provides a very appealing but unobtrusive lope and pairs with
a 4-speed automatic transmission whose overdrive gear makes for low
revs at highway speeds. A Ridetech suspension has been installed in
both front and back, so this classic truck offers a great ride - no
small feat with its generously proportioned 20" Boss wheels wrapped
with Nitto Invo tires - and you'll find power disc brakes with
slotted and drilled rotors at all four corners for low-effort, fade
resistant stops.
Offering all the vintage appeal you could ask for, but with just
the right upgrades to provide a great driving experience in
everyday conditions, this 1970 Chevrolet C10 is one awesome truck.
