This beautiful 1977 Corvette L82 coupe has original matching numbers on the engine, transmission and drivetrain. It has 4 speed close ratio manual transmissions, power windows, sport mirrors, tilt-telescopic steering column, AM/FM 8 track radio stereo, aluminum wheels and factory air conditioning. The car was purchased from an estate in 2001 and the odometer reported 130,492 miles at the time. In 2002 the car went through an on-frame restoration which included; new brakes, clutch, flywheel, clutch fork, rebuild 3:70 rear end, replace rear bearings and an Edelbrock performer replacement series carburetor.
The interior has new foam padding and seat covers over the original frames, new carpet, new dash pad, new door panels and all gauges work.
The vehicle was stripped and repainted millennium yellow in 2002; new urethane bumpers were installed along with new badging, hinges seals and gaskets. The undercarriage has been completely inspected and not a hint of rust anywhere, the birdcage and surrounding areas are perfect.
The engine compartment is extremely clean for its age and the engine was professionally rebuilt in 2008. The heads were replaced with “Dart” heads, a new comp cam and aluminum intake manifold. The numbers matching equipment when removed were stored in case a future owner wants to return this corvette to a numbers matching configuration.
The engine rebuild was completed with 132,410 miles on the car and currently at 134,285 miles with only 1,875 being put on the engine in the last 10 years.The exhaust system has been changed to a true dual configuration and sounds great. The radio sounds fantastic and there is a re-tractable power antenna that works perfectly.
The car was never intended to be a show car and there are a few minor defects in the paint but it runs and drives beautifully and needs nothing, the suspension gives a nice tight handling ride and is very impressive, extremely comfortable, and this particular Corvette is an absolute pleasure to drive.
