Vehicle Description
2008 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe
In 1951 a group of Harley Earl's "Special Projects" crew began work
on a GM sports car. Bob McLean designed a general layout for the
car which was originally code named, "Opel." William Durant, the
founder of GM, said a wallpaper pattern he saw in a Paris hotel in
1928 inspired the bow tie logo. Supposedly, he ripped off a small
piece of it and brought it back to Detroit. Myron Scott, at the
time Chevrolet's Chief photographer, is credited with coming up
with the Corvette name, drawing from the small, fast warships of
the "Corvette" class.
Fast forward to 2008 and this LS3 putting out 430hp and has a Z51
package installed. This coupe from Bowling Green presents in very
good condition with a mere consigner stated 17,016 miles. This car
will arrive with 2 removable tops...1 glass and the other body
matching.
Exterior
Victory Red drapes the fiberglass, and 5-spoke forged wheels in
chrome finish are seen on all 4 corners. A mild to wild exhaust
control system has been installed. An extreme raked front
windshield is wrapped in black and is in perfect condition.
Interior
Draped in black leather power buckets are beckoning you to get in,
get grabbed, push the button, and go...fast! The center console
offers all the creature comforts you could want, as in dual climate
control, AM/FM/CD, anti-skid mode button, power windows, and power
mirrors. The instrument cluster glows white and is all analog and
fronted by a leather covered adjustable steering wheel that offers
fingertip controls, and paddle shifters. A stitched padded vinyl
dash top undulates and stretches from door to door and is pristine.
Door panels are very simple but effective in the design department,
and a push button door opening actuator makes getting in and out a
breeze.
Drivetrain
An LS3 mill fits snugly under the hood and has a Z51 package
upgrade installed. The automatic 6-speed transmission is bolted on
the back. This combination can put out an impressive 450hp.
Undercarriage
This car has seen little if any foul weather, and the undercarriage
proves it. All clean even down to the exhaust system, and ground
effects floor pan panels. No runs...no drips...no errors on this
cream puff (that happens to be iced with some Jalapeno flavor under
the bonnet.)
A well taken care of favorite toy of the consigner, you have the
opportunity to pick up at a very fair price. Considering the low
mileage, and condition, you will not be disappointed ...unless you
call too late and it has been taken!
