Vehicle Description
This real-deal 1965 Pontiac GTO has been customized over every
inch. So look over the all the details, including the slick paint,
A/C interior, and performance V8, and soon you'll realize this is
the big power machine that knows how to leave a lasting
impression.
This one has all your favorite elements that makes this the
granddaddy of all muscle machines, including the stacked
headlights, hood scoop, hardtop profile, full GTO badging, and
artful taillight arrangements. But this classic also has a
personality all its own. The Indigo Blue mixes a modern clearcoat
shine and plenty of metallic element to highlight the crisp
sheetmetal. But what really makes this stand out is the custom
white, magenta, and teal arrangement that starts at the front
fender and artfully dances its way down the profile. And those
17-inch Boyd Coddington wheels have a terrific shine to go with all
that bright trim and wraparound bumpers. It's a total custom
appearance that announces someone made some big investments in this
GTO (it spent 2+ years in restoration.)
The custom presentation continues inside. You still get Pontiac's
classic arrowhead pattern on the bucket seats, but it was custom
crafted into a comfy velour setup. In fact, this classic coupe has
some more terrific comfort upgrades like the AM/FM/CD/XM stereo
featuring Bluetooth and cold-blowing R134a air conditioning. But
comfy doesn't mean this is a pure coddler. This GTO was made to eat
the streets. Your right hand will get a tingle of performance the
moment it touches the B&M shifter. And that feeling continues
as your left hand grabs the sports steering wheel and you gaze
across the dash full of AutoMeter Sport-Comp gauges.
While the interior and exterior are already worth showing off, we
know you'll really be proud to lift the hood wherever you park this
GTO. The tidy black walls filter all your attention to the motor,
and we dare you to find another component that could receive a
mirror-like polish. But more than just style, you have serious
substance. The 468 cubic-inch V8 is larger than anything ever
offered in a GTO. It started life as a 455 V8 before thousands $$$$
were spent during the engine build in 2004. It includes a bored .60
over kit, steel crank, roller rockers, newer serpentine belt drive
system, aluminum radiator, Ram Air IV heads, and topped with a
Holley four-barrel carburetor. It's a big power package, and the
growl from the header-fed H-pipe dual exhaust lets the world know
your superiority. Getting the power to the ground is a TH400
three-speed automatic transmission with a shift kit to keep you in
the optimal power band. And this feeds a stout 12-bolt rear end
with versatile 3.08 gears. Add in power steering, front disc
brakes, and thick sway bars front & rear, and this street machine
is a fine all-around classic.
