1988 Lincoln Towncar
This car must have been in a time capsule from the late 1980's! This is a Triple Black Signature Series Town Car with Leather interior which was a luxurious but unusual option for these vehicles. It has a 5.0 SEFI V8 and a 4 speed Automatic transmission with Overdrive.
This example has ORIGINAL top, interior, trim work, etc. and mostly ORIGINAL paint. It's a pleasant surprise when you look at the front grill on this vehicle and see that it has no chips, pitting, road rash, or scratches. The 1/2 padded roof is original showing the factory stitching and even the trim molding around the top is original along with all of the window glass. The trunk still has a hint of new car smell and looks the part of a 51,000 original mile car. There is NO rust on the body or floor of this car as it appears to have been garage kept for most if not all of it's life.
While this car is in excellent original condition for a 30 year old car, there are a few items worth mentioning including:
Everything else including windows, power seats, power door locks, etc., are in excellent working order. The car has been recently serviced and the right rear window motor, rear wheel cylinders, and brake lines have all been replaced. The radio in the dashboard is a replacement but we have the original radio and it goes with the car.
