Vehicle Description
This is exactly what hot rod fun looks like. The 1940 Ford Deluxe
Sedan Delivery gives you all the great lines of a classic pre-war
design, but the deep paint, custom A/C interior, upgraded
suspension, overdrive transmission, and strong V8 all tell you the
only delivery this one will be making is a ton of envy.
Today we all know the '40 Ford Deluxes were destine for hot rod
duty. It has the chrome teardrop surrounds on the headlights, the
long alligator hood, and the shapely front fenders to perfectly
accept extra wide wheels. But that's just a good starting point; it
takes a lot of planning and investment to get a car looking as
spectacular as this one. It starts with making sure the nearly
80-year-old Henry Ford steel is looking its best. Then add in some
well-incorporated upgrades like the steel running boards, beer
delivery logos (this was built by a beer distributor,) and 15-inch
wheels with Ford center caps. Of course, a big deal is getting the
right paint. The dark metallic blue is a modern hue with a deep
luster in the sunlight that gives it distinction on a show field.
And since there's less than 800 miles on the build, this
professional application can sure draw in a crowd. The paint offers
the kind of shine doesn't need too much chrome accenting - just the
right factory pieces like the bumpers, pointed grille, and the
really cool line that runs the full body length. It's a total
package that makes a total stunner out of a rare canvas.
Once you open the door, you'll never believe this car is from 1940.
The gray bucket seats are true modern pieces with nice bolstering
for all-day comfort. It coordinates with the custom door panels and
carpet piping for a great uniform look. In fact, this style is
carried into the cargo area for a very thoughtful total build.
You'll slip behind the original-style dual spoke steering wheel,
which gives you a commanding view of the modern Dakota Digital
gauge panel. And while they paid close attention to make the dash
look as vintage as possible, you'll love the very well-integrated
addition of modern R134a air conditioning.
The engine bay is just as tidy as the rest of the build. The etched
polished valve covers, matching air topper, bright alternator, and
much more add plenty of shine under the hood. More than just style,
you have the substance of a 305 cubic-inch V8 upgrade. It has been
enhanced with a Demon four-barrel carburetor, Weiand Street Warrior
intake, and a sweet-sounding dual exhaust. Also, take some time to
look at the undercarriage photos. Not only do they prove how fresh
this build is, but also you'll spot some terrific upgrades. You
have a strong TCI chassis, upgraded TCI tubular A-arm independent
front suspension, and a stout Currie 9-inch rear end. Add in rack &
pinion power steering, front disc brakes, and a 200-4r four-speed
automatic transmission w/highway-friendly overdrive, and soon you
realize this is a great classic to enjoy near or far.
Complete with build receipts and manuals for the modern upgrades,
this is an all-around stellar build of a unique and rare Ford. But
you're not the only one who wants this kind of distinction, so
hurry up and call today!
