Volvo hasn't been "Volvo" in a long time. Initially sold by AB
Volvo to Ford Motor Company in 1999, Volvo was most recently sold
to Chinese company Geely. Though the company has changed hands
several times now, quality has remained consistent throughout
because the cars are still being manufactured under Swedish
supervision. Though the Geely Volvos have certainly ushered in some
new styling, the Ford-era Volvos are a product line of their own.
2010 was the last year of Ford's ownership, and in many ways the
end of "how Volvos were."
Volvos are still great vehicles, but a discerning buyer looking for
a Volvo that feels like a pre-Geely Volvo will certainly want this
car. This 2010 C70 is a nice little daily-use vehicle that is clean
and maintained and has seen regular use since new. The hardtop
convertible is ideal for year-round enjoyment of this car, and if
you're worried about snow just remember: it's Swedish! The exterior
of this car shows normally for a used car of this age. Despite a
few minor paint chips, the paint is in good condition overall. This
Volvo is sitting on a nice set of Yokohama tires that seem to have
lots of tread remaining.
The interior is very nice, and feels just like a Volvo should.
Aside from some normal wear on the driver's seat, the interior is
surprisingly nice for the mileage. It is clear that this car has
been well-kept. It is very comfortable to sit in and really feels
like a Volvo! This C70 runs great and has lots of torque, as any
turbo five-cylinder Volvo should. This is a very responsive and
sporty little car that won't break the bank. If you're looking for
a nice, clean, and simple little daily with a little bit of flash
then this is the car for you!
