The GS was a midsize sedan that was first introduced by Lexus in
1993. Competing with class leaders such as the Mercedes Benz E
Class and BMW 5 Series, the GS brought a new level of reliability
and low cost of ownership to the luxury table. The fourth
generation model hit the market in 2011, with a new found focus on
style and sportiness. An F sport model was introduced and was
similar to a BMW M Sport package. A number of performance and
cosmetic tweaks meant the new GS could finally compete with the
Germans on performance.
