In 2004, the Mercedes-Benz CLK 55 received its first-ever facelift.
In the opinion of some, this facelift was overdue! The subtle
styling changes adjusted this car to look much more modern;
abandoning the styling Mercedes had been hanging onto since the
late 1990s. This created a sleeker, prettier, visually streamlined
CLK sure to catch the eye of any motoring enthusiast. These cars
represent an incredible value as well. According to the original
window sticker, that is included in the sale, brand new this AMG
was over $83,000 new!
This example is a two-owner vehicle, though the second and current
owner purchased it used when it was only one year old. It has been
kept clean, garaged, and meticulously maintained as long as the
current owner has had it. The exterior of this car is very
attractive in the black paint/black top combination. The paint is
in great condition with some car wash scratches as well as a
distinct lack of dings, dents, and chips. A good buff would really
help this black beauty shine! The original convertible top is in
excellent condition and hardly looks like it has seen over 100,000
miles (let alone almost 15 years!) of use. As a whole, the exterior
of this CLK looks amazing for both its age and mileage.
The black leather interior is as nice or nicer than the exterior.
Aside from some very minor seat wear, and some aging on plastic
parts, the interior almost looks new! It is extremely comfortable
and feels very safe. This car is quick and powerful, not to mention
responsive! It does what you want when you want. The engine runs
smoothly and sounds phenomenal-almost like an old American V8! The
Continental tires look as if they are fairly new, and add to the
already exceptional ride quality of this Mercedes-Benz.
