THE STORY BEHIND THIS 1963 CHEVROLET C10 PICKUP PROJECT
Several months ago a gentleman named Larry from Virginia called me about a pickup we had listed that he wanted to purchase ... and ... told me one of the saddest stories I have ever heard from a car guy.
You see ... he was retired and had spent 4 years (full time) building this 1963 Chevy C-10 into his "Dream Truck" and ... was about 75% complete. However, during the fourth year he began to loose his eyesight and after many doctor visits realized that he was not going to be able to personally complete his beloved project. Rather than have it as a constant reminder of his failing health, he offered to us as a trade for the pickup we had listed. Well ... I was amazed with the Attitude and Spirit of my new friend Larry ... and ... after hearing everything he had already completed and reviewing the pictures, I quickly agreed.
When it arrived ... we were THRILLED !!! Larry had done a 1st QUALITY JOB !!!
And ... virtually everything needed to complete the project was there including many new parts still in the boxes.
Many of you who follow our business know that we also purchased the "FSD HOT ROD RANCH" several months ago and were able to set up our own Hot Rod Shop on site with a full time mechanic, Jeff (who has over 30 years of experience building and maintaining Hot Rods). We were excited about completing the '63 C-10 and I decided that we should be able to ask $39,950 for it when it was done. However, Jeff and our new shop has been so busy that we have decided to offer it to you as a Un-finished Project.
