Mileage is of 29 December 2018. Car is still being driven occasionally. This car has been garaged virtually its entire existence. We got it from our friends and neighbors out front of us some 15+ years ago to have another car for our kids to drive. They had inherited it from her elderly mother when she passed away in the 1990's. They used it as a second vehicle until we bought it. They babied it, too. We bought it with about 88K on it.
We discovered it was too nice for the kids, and they preferred driving smaller cars. So they drove the Swift, Accent or the Optima. I adopted the Caddy as my enjoyment vehicle, did the service and had various issues fixed by our mechanic, Hank. On occasion, I would take it out just to drive around in a "luxury" vehicle.
Anyone who knows the Seville will know that even in the basic version, the car really is comfortable to drive. A two hour trip is simply a joy in theses seats and with the way it handles. And this Seville was built with all the 'bells and whistles' Cadillac had to offer.
Like all 40 year old vehicles, it requires regular tender loving care. I keep the battery on a trickle charger. I keep the tank full of non-ethanol gas. Oil is changed regularly and I use Mobil 1. I try to fix problems as they arise. Most of the car is OEM, but there are typical exceptions. [The prior owners upgrade the fuel pump and I consider it noisier than it should be. (But since it isn't a distraction at highway speeds, I never remember it after I'm out driving!) Somebody, (probably grandma,) put on a cutoff switch with special key that prevented the grand-kids from hijacking the car!]
