Vehicle Description
The 1979 Lincolns were the last of the truly full size American
luxury cars. GM and Chrysler introduced their new downsized luxury
cars in 1977 & 1979. Lincoln would follow in 1980. Sales were
strong with just over 79,000 Mark V's sold in its final year of
production. Of those 6,720 were ordered in the special Bill Blass
designer series trim which featured special Navy blue and white
two-tone paint, unique gold pinstriping, color keyed dark blue
turbine wheels, Bill Blass emblems and a special leather interior
in either blue with white trim or vice versa. This is an
outstanding example of the Bill Blass designer edition Mark V with
only 22,000 kilometers (13,000 miles). . It sold new in Canada so
the odometer records kilometers rather than miles but the
speedometer indicates both. This Lincolns condition indicates that
it was garaged and not used in winter months. We've owned many low
mile Mark V's and this one runs and drives as good as the best
we've had. It is exceptional! The original paint is very nice and
the interior is like new.... in fact the leather is glove soft! All
options are in working order including the air conditioning,
Quadrasonic stereo, power antenna, power seats and power windows.
The tires are new custom made double band whitewalls which
replicate the optional tire that was availble in 1979. The original
spare tire on this car has never been used. This Bill Blass also
has the optional carriage roof, a feature not all Bill Blass
editions have. Please call Tom or Dave at (407) 428-0116 for
details. All cars are shown by appointment. Please be sure to call
or email before visiting as we do not keep regular hours at our
warehouse. Thanks for looking!
