Ford Motor Company introduced the third generation Thunderbird in 1961. The new, sleek aerodynamic design was influenced by the fighter jets and rockets of the era giving the Thunderbird a ready-for-anything takeoff appearance that many found inspiring.
Both the 390/300 horse power engine and three speed automatic transmission have been rebuilt with only 7,800 miles on same.
