This could potentially be the only Cougar like this one still in
existence! Sold June 23rd, 1969 this triple black Cougar was
purchased and adored for many years by what is believed to be only
two owners. After the current owner purchased it 6 years ago, this
classic Mercury underwent a complete restoration where the car was
stripped down to the bare tub. Once taken down bolt by bolt, the
car was professionally restored using correct parts and no expense
was sparred throughout. The same 390 cubic inch big block V8 and
C-6 Merc-O-Matic that came in only 102 Cougars that year was also
taken apart and professionally rebuilt. Since this work was
completed and the car was put back together, there has been only
464 miles put on this stunning Cougar! The Raven black paint that
was a factory color in 1969 looks deep and is like looking in a
mirror and pairs well with the completely black interior and black
soft top. As you sit in the driver's seat, and stare out over the
gauges, you will be impressed at the overall condition and feel as
if you are looking at this Cougar back on the showroom floor in
1969. The ride in this Cougar is just as impressive. Before the
interior was reinstalled, the floor pans were lined in Dynamat to
keep the road noise down. This Cougar is a piece of American
automotive history and is an excellent option for someone who wants
a very original classic with a MARTI report and the prominence that
goes with it. This vehicle is located in our Denver showroom. You
