Vehicle Description
You're not likely to find a first generation Chevelle with more
sheer visual magnetism than this one! The high impact exterior on
this 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle SS Tribute combines with a monster of
a powerplant lurking underneath its hood to make it a vintage
muscle car with few equals. It's bound to turn heads wherever it
may roam and comes with build receipts to document the expense that
went into its powerful configuration.
The deep black paint on this '67 affords it some seriously
outstanding curb appeal. That color can present some obstacles when
short cuts are taken in the preparation process, but there are no
such worries here - the paint is nice and even everywhere you look
and, due to a very strong clearcoat, produces a great shine,
especially when exposed to the sun. Sharp Super Sport badging takes
its place on the front grille, front fenders, rear quarters and
taillight panel to offer a call out to its upper crust Chevy
inspiration, while the gill-like vents on the hood are a very cool
added detail. This is a very finished looking Chevy - its chrome
trim is in solid shape on all sides, the bumpers look downright
great and clear glass surrounds the cabin. You'll notice its stance
right away - good wheel clearance, but doesn't ride too high and
has just the right amount of incline for a fittingly aggressive
appearance.
Plenty of work went into transforming the interior to its current
stellar state. Everything inside looks well-fitted and fresh, with
bench seating in both front and back that blends perfectly with the
door panels to either side, the headliner above and the expanse of
black carpeting below. The dash area just beyond the period correct
Super Sport steering wheel looks particularly strong, with fresh
woodgrain accents, clear factory gauges that are joined by a trio
of aftermarket SunPro displays below and a supple looking, unwarped
dash pad - always a welcome find in a UV sensitive black interior.
A Vintage Air climate control system has been added, so everyone
will ride in comfort - the air conditioning can get as cold as you
could want and the heat it produces is enough to warm up the
coldest of nights. The unmistakable sight of the B&M shifter on
the transmission tunnel calls out to you to fire up this powerful
Chevy to see what she can do. The trunk area in back is spacious
and looks to be very solid.
Raise the hood and prepare to be impressed. The air cleaner sticker
may indicate a 454, but the engine decodes to an early 70's 402
block that is running very strong and healthy! The engine
compartment is well detailed and very impressive. Under the air
cleaner sits a 4-barrel carb and a pair of super-sharp Chevrolet
valve covers at its sides that contrast perfectly with its orange
block and nicely finished intake manifold. The engine components,
as well as the inner fenders and firewall, look freshly steamed and
as clean as can be. The long tube headers leading out to dual
exhausts produce a great note and just a tap on the accelerator
will reinforce the notion that this classic is just itching to go
fast. The powerplant teams with a rock solid 3-speed automatic
transmission that's shifting at the top of its game, while power
disc brakes now sit at all four corners to bring the set of 15"
American Racing wheels wrapped with BF Goodrich T/A radials to
prompt, low-effort stops.
With its unbridled big block power and great first generation
looks, this 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle SS Tribute is one very fine
ride. Call today!
