This 1969 Mercury Cougar convertible is equipped with a 351-W 4V engine, rated at 290 horsepower, 3-speed Select Shift automatic transmission, a 3.00:1 rear axle, power front disc brakes, and power steering. The interior is in excellent condition with no rips or tears in any of the seats or the matching convertible boot. Carpet and door panels are in very good condition. Tunes are from an AM/FM stereo with Bluetooth capability. The convertible top is like new, with no wear or tear, and has the Plexiglas rear window. The headlight doors, power top, and sequential turn signal lights work flawlessly. It has nearly new BF Goodrich radial T/A tires, mounted on chrome Magnum 500 wheels. During the past year, the original carburetor was replaced with an exact reproduction Edelbrock carb. The distributor was also replaced and equipped with a Pertronix electronic module. The transmission was serviced and re-sealed, and a new aluminized 2 ½” exhaust system was installed with Thrush Turbo mufflers. Driving the car is a pleasure, as it tracks perfectly down the road with power to spare. The front and rear bumpers have been re-chromed. The car was repainted a while ago and has a couple of minor chips. There are, however, no wreck damage or parking lot dings, and the paint is shiny and beautiful. I’ve enjoyed warm summer days cruising and showing this car, and it has been well cared for. Due to health concerns, I’m motivated to sell, so will consider reasonable offers.
