Vehicle Description
This matching-numbers Shelby GT500KR benefited from a professional
concours nut-and-bolt restoration. The Deluxe Marti Report proves
this car was born with all the best options Ford and Shelby offered
in 1968, including the 428ci Cobra Jet engine, Toploader 4-speed
manual transmission with 3.00 Traction-Lok rear axle, GT Equipment
Group, Visibility Group, Sport Deck rear fold-down seat, power
steering, power front disc brakes, tilt-away steering column, air
conditioning, AM radio, Interior Decor Group and tinted glass. Full
documentation includes the original Build Sheet and original Order
Form from Shelby Automotive, the original Shelby invoice, Window
Sticker, Owner Card and a Carroll Shelby-signed visor with
Certificate of Authenticity for Auto Memorabilia. The original
matching-numbers engine was completely and professionally rebuilt
to stock specs, and the suspension and rear end received a full
professional makeover. It has correct exhaust, ECS date-coded glass
and decals, and professionally built reproduction KONI shocks. The
rust-free California body was dipped, stripped and e-coated. The
steel wheels are original with correct reproduction tires. The
original Cobra wheel covers and all-bright trim were professionally
restored, and all new wiring was installed throughout the car. The
original seatbelts were restored and the gauges, radio and dash
were professionally done. No detail was overlooked in restoring
this Shelby to all of its original glory.
