For Sale: 1937 Ford Custom in Arlington, Texas

Vehicle Description

1937 Ford Phaeton

The 37 Fords had one of the coolest looks out there making them an excellent candidate for custom cars. This 37 Ford is also a slantback style phaeton combining that cool 37 ford nose and swooping fenders with a roadster top and slick sloped rear. The car has been a show car all of its life and really well cared for with less than 1,000 miles put on it since completion. It is very tastefully done with just the right custom touches and all high quality components throughout. It has a Dennis Taylor body mounted over a Dennis Taylor frame which is a well known name in the industry. The exterior is done in a beautiful White paint for the ultimate clean look. It has been kept free of graphics and flames so the future owner can easily add them if desired but as is it really looks stunning. Paired with the White is a dark Blue Carson removable hardtop which contrasts the light body color perfectly. Owning a convertible like this is really fun because in just a few minutes you can transform it from a hardtop to a convertible depending on the day and it looks great both ways. It features teardrop headlights up front with custom turn signals and very cool frenched LED lights in the rear. A third LED brake light was also added just under the rear window and is inset into the body. The body is shaved of any handles or exterior hardware and even the gas tank door was flush mounted to create a very smooth looking exterior. At one point the car was shown without the side panel grills but those have since been added and really look great. The car has a great stance sitting low on the ground but not too low as to have bad clearance issues. Tucked under each fender are American Racing Torque Thrust wheels with custom V8 center caps and BFGoodrich tires.

The hood opens to the side and reveals the 350 V8 motor that has been nicely built and topped off with a ton of chrome and billet add ons. Chrome valve covers, chrome air cleaner, chrome alternator, cool flex hoses, and a silver ceramic coated manifold are all on the list. The firewall has been kept totally clean except for a few cables and painted White to match the body. It motor has plenty of power and the car cruises down the road comfortably. Paired with the engine is a Turbo 350 automatic transmission and Ford 9 inch rear end. It has a Mustang II style front end which incorporates upgraded suspension components along with disc brakes. In back it has parallel leaf springs. The car does get driven so the underneath of the car shows your typical dirt from being on the road but it is clear that it was built to be a nice show car. Everything is very cleanly done with a lot of the components like the frame and rear end being painted Blue to match the top.

The interior is complete in a Two tone Grey and Blue cloth. The bucket seats up front are comfortable and sit next to the custom made center console. The power window controls, custom shifter and Pioneer AM/FM/CD player are all housed in the center console in a White panel that extends under the dash. This keeps the dash looking clean and free of clutter except for the Vintage AC/Heat vents and white faced VDO gaugues mounted in a billet bezel. The tilt column is painted White to match and is topped off with a Lecarra leather wrapped steering wheel. The trunk is finished out nicely in Blue cloth as well.

This is a super fun car with a total Street Rod look.
