Vehicle Description
This 1978 Trans Am SE underwent a 5-year total restoration and, in
2011, won First Place at Pontiac Nationals in Ohio for Best
Restoration. This is one of 489 Trans Ams built in 1978 with a
4-speed manual transmission and is powered by a matching-numbers
6.6-liter 8-cylinder engine. This Pontiac is a documented Y82 SE
Starlight Black car with Lombardy cloth interior, and has its
original bumpers, quarter panels, fenders, doors, hood and floors.
The interior features factory air conditioning, factory Hurst
T-hatches and AM/FM radio. The highly-detailed engine bay is
comprised of many NOS and dated components, and has a mostly NOS
exhaust and date-coded brakes. This SE comes with the original
Window Sticker, several original registrations from the 1980s, the
original loan agreement and title application, and two books of
pictures and documents from the original owner. This is a Trans Am
Nationals Class Winner with a score of 98 out of 100, and was the
Pontiac magazine cover car in June 2012.
