Vehicle Description
1969 Ford Torino Fastback
The car was named after the city of Turin (Torino, in Italian),
considered "the Italian Detroit". The Torino was initially an
upscale variation of the intermediate sized Ford Fairlane, which
Ford produced between 1962 and 1970.
For consignment an orange version of the Torino, in fair to good
condition, runs great, and just needs a home.
Exterior
The GT Sports roof is seen on top and is painted to match the car
in Orange Crush, which presents in good condition. American Racing
Wheels are seen all around. Chrome bumpers, and correct badging are
seen in good condition.
Interior
Black vinyl buckets in front flank a center console that houses a
storage glove box and the automatic shifter. Buckets and rear seat
are in good condition, carpet presents nicely, as well as original
dash with 4 large circular gauges/clock fronted by an original
steering wheel. Headliner is good, as well as door panels. Int the
center of the dash is a factory AM radio. **Noted the consigner
states there is a clutch pedal installed, however it is non
functioning. He installed it in hopes of possibly putting in a
manual transmission in the future, however that never came to
fruition.
Drivetrain
A 390CI V-8 backed by an automatic transmission is seen in a nicely
detailed engine bay.
Undercarriage
Minor surface rust is seen, although there is very little of it.
Floorpans, and frame appear to be in good condition. Standard
steering and brakes are on the car.
A clean well-kept car, this consigner simple lives too far away to
ship the car and does not get to drive it as it should be driven on
a regular basis. Could definitely be a daily driver, and with the
paint, and overall quality will definitely attract attention.
