Vehicle Description
This 1951 Chevrolet Deluxe is the product of a complete
nut-and-bolt restoration that was completed in 2016. It's powered
by a 496ci Chevrolet big-block engine outfitted with a Ron Davis
aluminum radiator, backed by a TH400 automatic transmission with a
streetable torque converter and a narrows 8-3/4" Chrysler rear end
with limited-slip center section and 3.73 gears. The firewall was
moved back to accommodate the large engine, and Fat Man
drop-spindles were added to the front for a low-crawling stance.
The rear section of the body has been narrowed to allow for wider
tires. The exhaust features dual Flowmaster mufflers and H-pipe.
The glass is all-new, the original stainless trim was restored, the
weatherstripping is new, and all hardware - including latches,
hinges and handles - is original GM equipment. This Chevy is
finished in PPG Rodder Gray base coat/clear coat paint over an
all-new interior.
