Vehicle Description
This 1970 Chevelle SS 396 had been sitting in a barn since 1978 and
underwent a 3-year frame-off, nut-and-bolt rotisserie restoration
that was completed in 2015. It has less than 100 miles driven since
its completion, and comes with a large amount of photos and
receipts to document the restoration. Two Build Sheets were found
with the car, one that was fully intact and the other that was
partially intact. This Chevelle has been stored in a climate- and
humidity-controlled environment. Minor upgrades include a
serpentine system, camshaft, intake, carburetor, distributor and
valve covers. The original air conditioning unit, brackets, valve
covers, carburetor and intake are included with car. The drivetrain
includes a matching-numbers 396ci 8-cylinder engine with original
heads and exhaust manifolds, mated to an M21 4-speed manual
transmission and 12-bolt posi-traction rear, along with original
F41 suspension. All the metal on the body and rims are original to
the car, and the interior has been restored to include the original
dash, console, Hurst shifter, radio, door panels, new carpet, seat
skins and headliner.
