Built by the Porsche Exclusive department, the Turbo S was
distinguished by vented rear fenders, yellow brake calipers, a
special rear spoiler, a four-tipped exhaust system and an Aerokit
front spoiler with special vent and fog-light placement.
Comparisons with the 959 - Porsche's technical tour de force the
previous decade - were inevitable. Still considered among the most
powerful and sophisticated models Porsche has ever offered.
"If it didn't exist, there would be nothing remotely like it" -
Peter Egan
Chassis No. WP0AC2997VS375971 was completed in May 1997 and sold
new on August 25th through The Porsche Exchange of Highland Park,
IL, finished in Speed Yellow over Black Leather. In addition to the
plethora of standard equipment found on a Turbo S, this car was
equipped with self-dimming mirror and rain sensor, complementing
floor mats with Porsche script, lumbar support l/r, digital sound
package, 6-disc remote CD changer and supple leather front/rear.
Its Classic full-leather interior includes a leather draped
headliner, sun visors, center console, key rosette, window
switches, door sills, speaker covers, and seat switches. Featuring
carbon fiber dash insets, instrument surrounds and door-panel
inserts, carbon and aluminum shifter, hand-brake, door handles, and
aluminum-faced gauges.
In 2000, the Turbo S made its way to California, where it would
reside for the next 18 years under caring ownership. Just over
38,000 carefully preserved miles are displayed on this
exceptionally original and unmodified 993. The cabin retains its
original factory trim and upholstery, down to the supplemental
floor mats and CDR-210 radio, along with all identification tags,
glass and exterior lenses. Paint depth readings confirm all body
panels exhibit its factory applied Speed Yellow paint. Its stunning
condition reflects the consideration put forth over the years which
is further supported by ALL original books, cards and pamphlets in
folio, both sets of keys / fobs and Porsche Certificate of
Authenticity. Emergency accessories located in the front luggage
compartment, such as the tools, tire bag, gloves, first aid kit,
air compressor, spare tire and jack appear unused. Porsche car
cover and bag are welcomed additions.
CarFax and AutoCheck consistently track with a clean history, while
much of its previous service work was performed by Porsche
dealerships and specialists. Most recently, in December 2018, the
car received a complete "Intermediate Service" and multi-point
inspection by Porsche of West Houston, along with all new Porsche
N-Spec Bridgestone Potenza tires. Considered the ultimate evolution
of the air-cooled 911, the 993 Turbo S is worthy of the most
discerning Porsche collector, on par to any modern supercar.
As the last "hand-built/air cooled" Porsche and with amazing looks
and performance we believe the 993 Turbo S remains one of the best
collectible Porsche's of this generation. We proudly offer this
stunning original and complete example for further inspection,
worldwide purchase and delivery from our Houston, Texas
showroom.
