Vehicle Description
Special ordered new by Bill Pettit of Pettit Brothers Chrysler in
Virginia and owned by Mr. Pettit for over 30 years. Pettit was an
avid car collector with a very impressive collection that at one
point numbered in excess of 150 cars and included prized marques
such as Packard, Rolls Royce, Stutz and Duesenberg. He and his
father also owned "The Museum of Motoring Memories" in Virginia
which displayed the vast collection of cars, some of which had been
in the family since the 1940's! This New Yorker is an amazing
original car and its condition reflects that of which you'd expect
having come from such a fine collection. Only 61,000 miles have
been registered on the odometer since new (exempt on title) and
this New Yorker is loaded with options. It features a very unique
color combination - quite possibly 1 of 1. Powered by a 440 ci V8
engine and equipped with an automatic transmission, power steering,
power brakes, power windows, power locks, air conditioning, dual
power seats with passenger side recliner, leather upholstery, power
trunk release and much more. The original owners manual and
booklets are included. 1978 is the last year for this massive
design, the 1979 New Yorker saw major downsizing. Call Tom or Dave
at (407) 428-0116 for details. All cars are shown by appointment.
