For Sale: 1957 Porsche 356 in Alpharetta, Georgia

Vehicle Description

Absolutely gorgeous 1957 Porsche 356 Speedster Replica! This beautiful Triple Black Replica has just 2950 miles, is in amazing condition and runs and drives as good as it looks! That’s correct, I did say Replica, but not just any replica….this speedster was hand built by Vintage Speedsters out of California, the #1 builder of Porsche Speedster Replicas. In fact they have built about 90% of all the Porsche Speedster replicas on the market and their quality is top notch.

They use a custom built, jog welded 2×4″ 11 gauge steel frame. This rigid new structure retains the original VW floor pan designed by Dr. Ferdinand Porsche and integrates the largest frame possible. In addition the steering wheel is offset slightly just as it was in the original Speedster. While original Speedsters are a rare breed, Vintage Speedster Replicas are rare in their own right with roughly only 3000 built. This will be a great addition to any car guy or gals collection, or perfect for anyone looking for a truly unique sports car investment that can be driven anywhere as well be taken to the car shows and cruise-ins. Most people have no idea that this is not an original worth well over $150k and it will be up to you if you want to reveal the secret when you get stopped everywhere you go. I will do my best to provide you with enough large images, a video of the car running and an honest description to help you decide if this is the one for you. Sit back and enjoy!! As you will see in the pics the body on this Black Speedster is in amazing condition.

This Triple Black beauty was built in 2007 for a gentleman in California who sold it to a guy in Texas about 4 years ago. Both owners pampered this car and it was always garage kept. Body panel fit is fantastic and the doors on this replica open and shut like a new Porsche. Everyone who sees this car is extremely impressed with how authentic it looks. Other than a few very tiny paint flaws this Speedster looks amazing. All of the chrome trim and stainless looks excellent. Nice set of rock guards on the headlights and a cool vintage badge on the engine cover. I believe these Speedsters should be driven top down as often as possible but of course it is nice to know that if needed this Speedster has a like new, black convertible top that goes up in minutes and fits very nicely. The top is in like new condition. Side window inserts when needed. When you have the top down there is a great boot cover that snaps on for a clean look and this one also has the full tonneau cover that can be zipped out for the driver or fully zipped when parking it for a while. But please, enjoy this baby topless as much as possible!!!

Complimenting the Black exterior is an equally impressive black interior. Black on black is simply one of those most authentic and fitting  color combinations on these cars!! Seats are the more padded, more comfortable versions. The interior is also essentially flawless. Simplistic sophistication is the best way to describe the layout of the interior. Very comfortable and supportive bucket seats look close to new.  Seat belts for both front passengers. There is a rear seat pad but I think it is more like a storage shelf than a seat. Door panels and carpeting look great. Dash is neatly laid out with all of the gauges you need to monitor the performance of this air cooled 1600 cc dual carb engine. All of the gauges, lights, turn signals etc are working correctly.  Beautiful banjo style steering wheel and Porsche emblem shifter knob. There is a stereo installed under dash that hooks in to your music device or phone with speakers built in to the door panels.

This is the 17th Vintage Speedster I have owned so I knew what to expect when this one arrived. However, I when I got my first one I have to admit I was a little skeptical about how much fun it would be to drive. Well, after driving that first one I was immediately a fan. This one has just over 3300 miles on it. If you ask me if the car is fast I will be honest and tell you no it is not. If you ask me if it is fun to drive I will enthusiastically say absolutely yes!!! These cars have a serious fun factor unlike anything else. The 1600 cc dual carb air cooled engine was always well maintained even with such low mileage. It received a full tune up just 500 miles ago with valve adjustment, carbs were balanced and synchronized and a pretronix electronic ignition was installed to replace the points. Compression was checked at that time with all 4 cylinders reading within a few lbs.of each other.  It  is nice and peppy and cruises along at highway speeds thanks to the freeway flyer 3.88 transmission with no problem.. The car has a nice tone from the tri-mil dual exhaust and you can hear it running in the video that follows. This little speedster also handles really well with a close to new set of radial tires on a beautiful set of chrome hub caps.  Braking is a breeze with the upgraded front disc brake option this one has. Maintenance is cheap and easy on this car and any foreign car mechanics should be able to do a valve adjustment and tune up every 3-4,000 miles to keep it running great The undercarriage looks great and engine bay is also nice and clean as you would expect.. Plenty of storage in the front trunk area so go ahead and take that weekend trip to the mountains or the beach, it will be a ride to remember but make sure you leave a little extra time for all the questions and thumbs up you will get along the way. There is nothing this car needs but you in the drivers seat!! Be sure to watch the video that follows to hear it start up and running. Asking price is $30,900 and will listen to serious offers. Serious buyers should call me at 770-359-8400 .
