Vehicle Description
This 2008 Ford Shelby GT500 is powered by a 5.4-liter engine with a
6-speed manual transmission and has 23,873 actual miles. This
one-of-one GT500 was presented to the owner by Ford Motor Company
and Carroll Shelby in 2008. The upgrades and modifications were
performed by Carroll Shelby's personal mechanic, the late Dave
Evans. The car has Carroll's autograph on the hood, radiator
support, dash, owner's manual case, both visors and the passenger
headrest. The signatures are all accompanied by sequential
Certificates of Authenticity. Bob Bondurant, the champion Cobra
racer, hot-lapped the car on his track in Chandler, AZ. Carroll
Shelby gave his personal thumbs up when the car was completed and
driven to his home in Beverly Hills. A photo of Carroll and Cleo
Shelby with the car and owner Quinn comes with the car. There are
several additional photos that verify the authenticity of the car.
The paint scheme on the wheels was done as a prototype design that
did not go into production. The �89 decals, as well as other decals
and badging, are to commemorate Carroll's age when he passed away
at age 89. The engine produces 574hp and 589 ft/lbs of torque at
the rear wheels on 91 octane fuel and through the cats. Dyno sheets
