Vehicle Description
When introduced, the "A" charted a new direction for MG. The cars
were lower with sleek lines, more roomy interior, low seating
position and more powerful. Most importantly was the departure of
the body-on-frame design for a uni-body construction. The car was
stiffer, much more rigid, and demonstrated vastly improved handling
capabilities. The A transcended MG to the sports car world and
developed a rich racing history. To this day, the MGA is considered
the best overall MG produced.
GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this absolutely stunning MG A
for your consideration. The car is finished in Old English White
and is stunning. The paint and body work are excellent, and the car
was treated to professional restoration inside and out. The body is
very clean and without blemish and features a rear luggage rack,
brand new Coker whitewall tires on factory wire spoke wheels, as
well as a brand new black soft top. The interior is very sharp and
features lovely Cabernet red trim and seats. The dashboard is
functional and clean and the carpets are brand new as well.
Instrumentation is in great shape. The car has been fully sorted
mechanically, with a peppy 1600cc I4 mated to a 4-speed manual that
clicks through the gears nicely. The car features front disc brakes
and has been converted to a 12 volt electrical system.
Everything is as it should and is probably nicer than when it left
the factory. The current owner has enjoyed the car and the car is
blast to drive. Nice MG As are shooting up in value, and the cars
are a fun conversation piece as well as an appreciating asset. This
car drives straight and true and is joy to drive.
