Vehicle Description
This Camaro was built at the Van Nuys plant and spent its entire
life in Southern California and Arizona. It has undergone an
intense 2-year build by Denny's Bowtie Restorations with over 1,600
hours invested. The engine is a GM Performance LS1 with an upgrade
COMP Cam, custom intake, improved injectors and Hooker Free Flow
cast headers, and produces over 450hp at the flywheel. The
transmission is a Muncie close-ratio M21 4-speed that was
professionally built with a Corvette performance clutch, a
hydraulic TO Bearing and a new balanced 1330 driveline. Custom
MagnaFlow 2-3/4" mandrel-drawn exhaust provides a mild rumble but
fierce bark upon acceleration. The front suspension is C6 Corvette
with a Scot Mock front clip that was custom-made for this build
with a splined front sway bar, Strange coilovers with double
adjustment, power rack & pinion and big 6-piston brakes. The rear
suspension has a 9" narrowed Currie rear end with TrueTrac 355
gears and has a Pro-Touring TCI rear torsion suspension custom-made
with Strange double adjusting coilovers. The body was rust-free to
begin with, so it was sanded to bare metal and, with high attention
to panel fit and straightness, was primed, blocked and sealed
before four coats of PPG Hugger Orange were applied along with four
coats of House of Kolor clear, and was then cut and buffed.
Completing the body is a factory-installed Endura front bumper and
Marquez driving and turn signals. The interior has clean rust-free
floors, rockers and trunk, and Dynamat Extreme was applied to every
interior surface. The one-off custom premium leather was
professionally installed and the trunk is also finished in the same
custom upholstery. The interior features new Dakota shaded glass
with all-new runners and seals, Dakota Digital VHX gauges with
stock sending unit interface, Vintage Air Stage IV heating and
cooling and a custom audio system. This custom Camaro rides on Rev
Series 55 custom Rally-style 18x8" front and 18x10" rear wheels
wrapped in Sumitomo tires. Over $123,000 was invested in this
build.
