Vehicle Description
This is a ground up restored from a very fussy restorer/collector.
It is very well sorted and drives great! Actually the owner had it
taken to a shop on its way to Volo and spent $1,100 having it
inspected, new fluids, tune up etc. Has all the popular 50s style
custom features.
EXTERIOR: Has a gorgeous dark plum metallic paint. It looks black
until the sun hits it. The reflection is like a mirror. Body is
arrow straight, fits nice. Doors and hood click shut. The power
convertible top is a rich German black cloth with red edges. It
also has glass rear window. Up front it has a custom 54 Pontiac
grill. The front of the hood was filled in and has louvers on top.
Front and rear bumpers are ribbed with aluminum license plate
frames. In back it has continental kit and blue dot taillights. It
also has real dual spotlights, 3 rib fender skirts and functional
Lake pipes. All of the stainless, chrome, rubber are restored or
replaced. Excellent glass. It rides on radial wide white wall tires
with pinstriped rims flipper hubcaps.
INTERIOR: it is beautiful inside too. Completely reupholstered. The
tops of the doirs are chromed. Dash area is beautiful- the knobs,
gauges, heater, radio look great. Plastic steering wheel has no
cracks. Recarpeted with red sewn edges and embroidered floormats.
Trunk has the same black carpet with red piping, even the tire
cover. The bottom of the trunk lid has caroet inserts. Also
included is the spare, jack, several shop and service manuals and
original Ford tool kit.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Under the hood completely restored. The
original 231 flathead motor was rebuilt with vintage performance
upgrades. Has aluminum finned Offenhauser heads and aluminum intake
with dual carbs. Decorated with a fee pieces of chrome too.
Everything looks proper and tidy. Extra electric fan keeps it cool.
Has Mallory distributor with clear red wires.
I will say this is an exceptional car. It functions very very well.
The fit and finish is excellent. The new owner will be very proud
and feel real good driving it!
