We are extremely proud to showcase this beautiful 1941 Cadillac. This is just another example of the extreme talent and vision of the automobile designer, Harley Earl.

Restored over a period beginning in late 2011 and ending in 2013, this car was stripped to bare metal. It was completely disassembled and all parts were media blasted. and painted.

The car was originally black, but after consulting color charts for 1941 and many photos, it was decided to paint the car two-toned gray with Vincennes red wheels and pinstriping.

Features Include;

346 CI 5.7L V-8 (original- rebuilt)
4 Speed Hydra-Matic Automatic Transmission (original-rebuilt)
Vintage Air -Air Conditioning
Power Steering
Power Front Disc Brakes
12V System
Leather Interior
Porcelain Coated Exhaust Manifolds
Ground Up Restoration

In 1941 there were only 1900 coupes built. The hydromatic automatic transmission makes the car even more rare. The flat head engine that produces a brake horse power of 150 @ 3400 rpm, was used in tanks in WWII. It has a Stromberg AAV-26 carburetor.

The current owner purchased the car from a doctor in Florida who had purchased it from the restorer in Houston Texas who is a member of the Cadillac Lasalle Club of Texas. . He purchased the car after it had been in storage for over 30 years.

Everything was replaced or rebuilt on this car. All rubber is new, the chrome has all been redone, and all hoses and fuel lines were replaced.

The interior was stripped down to bare springs an re-bagged with cotton, replacing the original burlap. Lovely two-tone gray leather was installed and hand sewn.
All worn out fasteners in the car were replaced wit stainless.

Some of the items that were done just after 2013 were the air conditioning, the new mounted and balanced tires, and the installation of seat belts. Also new wiper arms and blades were installed.

The original radio was restored by South Texas Antique Radio. The car was built in Detroit and sent to a dealer in New York, but then went to Texas. The radio stations on the upper bar are all stations from the 40s in Dallas. Some are still in existence.

Everything is working on the car including the clock.

Vintage Air from San Antonio, Texas makes this nice under dash unit that works perfectly in this type of application.

All of the wood grain painted metal on this car was restored beautifully.

The wool carpet and trunk kit are from Jenkins Interiors.

The trunk is like new. There is a spare, but it is not one of the new mounted and balanced Diamond Back radial tires that are on the car.  These were installed since 2013.

The original matching numbers engine was rebuilt during restoration. It runs strong and quiet with it's hydraulic lifters.
The original radiator was serviced and a new thermostat for the shutters was installed.

The carburetor was rebuilt by Daytona Parts Company one of the best in the country.

The starter and generator were both rebuilt. The water pump was rebuilt using stainless steel internals and an additional pulley was installed for the addition of air conditioning.

The water pump was rebuilt. The wiper motor was replaced with a new custom 12V motor from Newport. This was done for safety reasons and to help pass inspection.

All brake lines, master and slave cylinders were replaced with new components.

There is an all new stainless exhaust system.

The differential had new bearings and seals installed.

The transmission was rebuilt using new parts from a 1948 hydromatic, as per the advise of the Cadillac LaSalle Club Forum.

This truly is a magnificent work of art. Shortly after is completion in 2013, the car was entered into the 2013 Concours d' Elegance of Texas and won the American Classic Closed 1925-1942 Class.

This is a true collector car, but one you do not have to be afraid to drive. It runs so well and rides like a new Cadillac.
