Vehicle Description
This custom 1951 Chevrolet 3100 pickup underwent a frame-off
restoration and is now equipped with 4-wheel disc brakes. It has a
Mustang front end with coilover shocks and tubular A-arms and
4-link rear suspension, also with coilover shocks. It is powered by
an LS 5.3-liter V8 engine mated to a 4L60E 4-speed automatic
transmission with a Chevy 10-bolt posi-traction rear end. New air
conditioning and an aluminum radiator have been installed, as well
as new LED taillights and dual Flowmaster exhaust. It has new
custom gauges and a custom-built center console that complement the
new black and tan interior. It is equipped with tilt wheel and
bucket seats with lower headrests that do not block the all-new
glass rear window. This pickup has been freshly painted with a
black base coat/clear coat paint. The bed of the truck is done in
Minnesota oak wood and stainless-steel strips. It rides on new
Retro wheels and Sumitomo tires, and has new chrome bumpers and
grille. This 1951 3100 placed First in a Street Rod custom truck
event.
