Vehicle Description
This 1985 Ford Mustang GT is powered by a 302ci 8-cylinder
high-output engine with 4-barrel carburetor, mated to a 5-speed
manual transmission and has 22,532 original miles (mileage not
indicated on the title). It is finished in Gloss Black and remained
with it original owner from 1985 to 2016. The front end has been
restyled with a grille-less nose with a horizontal air-intake slot.
It has received new E5AE cylinder heads, a revised Holley 4-barrel
carburetor, a new and more aggressive roller camshaft, less
restrictive exhaust manifolds and a pseudo dual exhaust. This would
be the last carbureted V8 Mustang available. The '85 utilized gas
struts, variable rate springs and a rear quad shock arrangement.
The front anti-sway bar thickness increased to 1.3" from 1.125" and
the rear anti-sway bar was bumped to 0.83" from 0.79". The
transmission gear ratios were improved with a 3.35:1 first gear in
the new T-5 and a short-throw shifter helped quicken gear
selection. Axle ratios in '85 2.73: or 3.08:1 for the 5-speed. This
vehicle was undercoated when new and was also radio-delete per its
Marti Report. Cared and pampered for since day one, this Mustang is
supplied original documentation, glove box pack and a Marti Report.
